Weber Shandwick Promotes Baxter Jolly To Vice Chairman For Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE, 9 March 2010 – Weber Shandwick has promoted Baxter Jolly, currently managing director for Southeast Asia based in Singapore, to vice chairman of Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific.
In the role of vice chairman, Jolly will take region-wide responsibility for multinational client services, regional practice groups and driving the agency’s HR and talent management programs.
“Baxter has led one of our most consistently successful businesses in Singapore and has developed our capabilities throughout Southeast Asia,” said Tim Sutton, chairman of Weber Shandwick Asia Pacific. “He is hugely respected by his colleagues, clients and industry peers and there is no one better qualified or suited to drive these critical areas for our business.”
Jolly will report directly to Sutton and continue in his role as managing director for Southeast Asia.
Under Jolly’s leadership, Weber Shandwick Singapore was named Best PR Agency 2008 by the International Business Association (IBA) Stevie Awards. The office has received numerous campaign awards in the last two years alone, including Communications Campaign of the Year in Asia from the IBA in 2009; Financial Communications of the Year at the 2009 Holmes Report Asia Pacific SABRE Awards, and the 2008 Asia Pacific PR Awards; and the Financial Services/Investor Relations Award from the International PR Association (IPRA) in 2009.
